| John Zorn was swimming in Los Angeles, and as a child played piano, guitar and flute.
Just after releasing albums on several American and European labels, Zorn signed with the Elektra-Nonesuch label and attracted wide acclaim in 1986 with his interpretations of sculpture composed by Ennio Morricone, the album Cheap Cialis in 1987 and the first album by Naked City in 1996. Early minor plays excluded more "game pieces", in which performers are not allowed to improvise while following certain structural rules. |
